- Noggins were wooden vessels of a round shape about the size of a quart, with a handle standing up at the side - used for sipping out of at the daily meals. (These are no longer made)
Wooden beds only were in use years ago - no iron beds whatever.
Practically all articles of furniture seems to have been made out of black oak (or Bog Oak) or Bog-deal, in Shramore Village.
These two timbers were noted for their durability.
