  1. Long ago there lived in Kilalane a man named Billy Lummox. Every evening he used to go to the Man-O-War for a few pints and to play a game of cards. One cold Winter's night as he was coming home he was met by a little man. The little man jumped up on his back and began shouting. "Up on Lummox we go." The little man kept poor Lummox running all night through fields and roads and in the morning he found himself in Flemington lying on a grubber.
