    My Beauty of Limerick
    I
I'll sing of the loved one the idol to me,
Although we are parted by the deep rolling sea,
My heart gladly wanders to Erin's green shore,
For there swells my sweet treasure mavourneen asthore
    II
I sigh when I think of the farewell good-bye
When she tried to keep back the sad tears from her eye
Saying God save poor Paddy and sent you safe home.
To a heart that is melting for you all alone.
    III
And don't I remember the promice I gave,
I'd come back to old Ireland when money I'd saved.
For there is no girl fairer or lovelier than she
    My Beauty of Limerick achula-macree.
    IV
I place 'neath my pillow each night as I sleep,
A dear little token she gave me to keep,
Just a wee bit of ribbon she took from her hair
Sure no king has a jewel more precious or rare
In the morning when I washed I press to my heart
My aileen's last gift and with it ne'er shall I part
For it comes from the rarest and dearest to me
    My Beauty of Limerick achual-macree
