- Many children go around barefooted in the Summer. There are many bootmakers in our district. They also repair boots. There are five bootmakers in our district. Not many boots are made by hand now. They are nearly all made in factories. There is a bootmaker in our district called Hynes. His father and grand-father, and other relatives were shoemakers. Some farmers send their measure to the bootmakers in our district and get special boots made.
