- The Robber's Bank, about a quarter of a mile from Santry is so-called because many robberies took place there. The famous Captain O'Dare and many other highwaymen staged many a hold-up near the Robber's Bank. The Fairies' Grove on Mr. William Murphy's farm got its name because it is supposed to be inhabited by fairies.
