- There was once a black cat in James Ruane's house and his name was Tom Pobilton. One night James was coming home after visiting somehouse in the village. and as he was going up the boreen leading to his house he met a procession of cats comeing down the boreen and they were carring a coffin and they stood and spoke to James, and they said "hurry home and tell Tom Nobilton to atend the funeral that queen Catherine is dead" and then they moved along. When Jamas went home he forgot to tell Tom Pobilton his story. The next night he thought of the squad of cats and he told the whole story about the cats to all that were in the house. While he was tell the story Tom Nobilton had his two cars standing up listening. When all the story was told Tom said, "why did you not tell me (act) about our(continues on next page)
