    going to see his friends in Carrick on his way first. It was a lovely bright moonlight night and when he arrived in Carrick road it was about two o'clock. The moon was shining lovely on the lake and as he looked out he saw a line of ships coming from John Ferguson's house towards the direction of Thomas O'Flynn's house. The man got afraid and he ran off for his life. For a while after he was very much afraid to pass around by that lake because it is supposed to be enchanted.
