    Burn - Rub a cabbage leaf on it.
    Cold - To rub a tallow candle on the back and the stomach
    Sore throat - Warm coarse salt, and put it in a stocking and put it around your neck
    Boils - Warm brown sugar and red soap
    Measles - Warm rum
    A pain in the neck - Pack up a stone and spit on it three times and leave it on the same place.
