  2. The Lore of March
    The three first days of April are called "The Riabhach Days." The hold saying is that March got those three days from April. The reason that it got those days was: to kill, to skin and to bury the old cow.
    There is also another saying about this month If the month comes in like a lamb it goes out like a lion.
    Once there was an old cow and everyone thought she would die in March. At the end of March the cow was alive and she started to boast when she did not die in March. Mary Grady Told to me by my father John Grady Kilclooney, Ballinasloe, Co Galway
