- There are two holy wells in this parish. One of them is in townland of Cnoc na Gréine. The other one is situated in the townland of Kilclooney. The well in Cnoc na Gréine is called St. Grellan's Well. This well is in Mrs. Finnerty's field. People do stations at this well on the 17th September each year. People leave ribbons and other things beside the well after doing the stations.
The other well is by the side of Kilclooney road. It is called Tobar na Súil. People believed one time that this well was a cure for sore eyes. No one goes to the well to be cured now.It was said one time that a woman from the north of Ireland came(continues on next page)- Collector
