Ballinasloe. - 5. Ballinasloe gets its name from "Béal Átha na Sluaigh" which means the Ford-mouth of the Hostings. The ford above Reilys mill is said to be the one from which Ballinasloe gets its name. The mills is in ruins today.Got from,
