    the lake will claim you as its queen and some other one every seven years for ever after. Put the horse into a dark stable for seven years and one day and I'll see to him. At the end ? that time he will not wish to go back to the lake.
    When the seven years were over all but the day there was a race in the race- course outside Loughrea. ? girl thought that one day would make no difference, so she took out the horse. The horse won the race but when ? came to the winning post he ? in seven springs into. The seven ? are still there. The queen of the lake is seen every seven years on horse- back to bring some-body into the lake.
