    in the district. There were a few more houses in former times but the residents died and the houses fell into ruin. The land is good enough but there are some limestone rocks here and there. There is a wood called "Coill Weiner" which occupies an acre. There is a river which separates the place from the townlands of Moyode and Ballawinna. This river was made about 100 years ago and the men employed got fourpence a day.
