    Long ago a man lived in a big house in Ballacurra . . .

    he would do. When he saw him going to a lonely part of a wood Muntach followed him. His cousin saw him coming. He had a purse of gold in his arm and went through the wood and hid it.
    He came to a large tree he put the purse down in a small hole near the trunk of the tree and he put a large plug on top of it. Soon his pursuer caught up to him and put him to death without (him) asking him any questions. To his amazement he had no gold such as he had expected.
    He threw his body into a big hole and covered it with clay. The ghost of the man he killed was always haunting him. He could not stand it any longer and he went to the place where he killed the man, and asked forgiveness for the wicked deed he had done.
