    The linen industry also carried out in Ballnagran and in Kilchreet. The people used to grow flax and the women used to clean and bleach it and hence the manner in which the flax was derived.
    Another trade was baking the ashes of bog oak and selling it for bleaching the flare. Another man was M. Kilboy who was a weaver ad a basket maker and lived in Ballacurra some years ago/
