    Our hearts were almost bursting as
    the dead silence reigned all o'er
    Their bodies then were taken and laid
    upon the floor.

    Another dead like silence around the
    charm remains
    And their noble sister calmly knelt to
    see their scattered brains
    No wonder that we murmur, no wonder
    that we sigh
    To see the fresh blood oozing freely from
    the wound in Harry's side.
    Poor Padraig's flesh was torn his eyes were
    boiled within
    And nothing left to recognise but the nose
    and half the chin

    Their broken bones were visible as a cold corpse there they lay
    Their bodies then were taken wrapped in brown and white,
    And in the church of God they were laid
    to rest that night.
