- On top of a hill in my village stand blocks of stone and mortar of tremendous size and weight which in bygone ages formed part of the walls of Dunbally Castle. The walls are about five feet wide. A tunnel extended from the castle to Aill Mór and another about eighty yards long to stables.
It is not know who lived there but whoever it was there are many stories told about him. The most important is the one about getting the two pots of gold one each (each) side of the bush.
Many rifles and spears are supposed to be hidden there in addition to the gold.
Many stones were taken to build the new houses about twenty years(leanann ar an chéad leathanach eile)- Bailitheoir
