    In this way they eked out a comfortable existence and lived happily.
    They had no family. This woman, it may be mentioned came from a family, whose ancestors were "Ultachs", having settled at the back of Sliabh Dart Mountain.
    It was commonly known in the immediate neighbourhood of Cloonkeen that the member of this household had premonitions of future happenings.
    The old man could tell when a baby was born in this locality whether it would survive to an old age or not. Anyhow this woman Bhid Dooley seems to have inherited the same peculiar qualities which charachwerised the family in General.
    One night she was coming home from a neighbour's house, and although the night was not too dark - neither was it late, she was put astray.
