    The frightened blacksmith obliged the fiend who then continued his journey. Some distance from the forge, near the present village of Killucan, he was thrown from his horse and killed. Needless to say the news of his death came as a great relief to the people of his district.
    His untimely death after incidence in the forge was probably a coincidence but people believe that their deliverance from the tyrant was brought about by the blacksmith's curse.
