  2. Some Twenty years ago Mike Power carried on his trade as basket-maker in browe St. Gort. He did mostly fancy work- hand baskets, which women used for shopping and the baskets used by the groeers(?) in the Town.
    He used sally rodes for that purpose. These were usually got in boole and were peeled before being used.
    Mike did a lot of odd jobs in reparing broken baskets alas. Trade was now stack and Mike left the town some ten years ago. He is in the Country Loughrea. Home,
