    another poet named Raftery. He wrote very famous poetry, namely Máire Ní Eidhin, Anach Cuan. He was born in Kileenan near Croughwell and as well as composing poetry he used to bring with him a flute on which he used to play old ballads and songs that himself composed. When the rats used hear him playing the flute they would run away. There used go around songs boys. They used visit houses and if the people did not give them money they would compose a song about them.
