    left at Kilrickle two miles from the racecourse. Pardy missed the cart and went in pursuit and found the cart at Kilrickle. He pushed the cart home before him a distance of fourteen Irish miles.
    Simple Fardy on another occasion took his fat pig to the fair of Ballinasloe, sold it and was told by the purchaser to take it to the railway and put it in truck with a number of others. Fardy in his simplicity remained with the pig expecting the purchaser to come and pay him for it as the train was about to move off. In jumps Fardy to the truck
    with the pig and was unloaded in Dublin where the buyer encountered him. There was a small scene and Fardy's fare home was given to him with the price of the pig.
