    Clonrickard who was a very tall man called in, and his high hat touched the ceiling, so he passed some joke about it. But the Admiral held up his head and said that the next time he called on them that his head would not touch the ceiling.
    This Admiral was supposed to have got a great reward from the King for capturing a Spanish ship which contained a great sum of gold. It was with this money that he built the house.
    Those Laurences did not like to be called English at all. But they said they were Austrians.
    This Admiral had a son called Peter Laurence who was a great violinist
