no answer came, and she thought that he was dead. So one day the Protestant she was to marry found the Cross outside his own house, and sent it to her, two days before the marriage and she wrote back to say that she would not marry him. After that she became a great Catholic and she left the country altogheher.
There was once a woman man who is now dead and buried, and when he was living he was a disgrace to the parish. Once he had a great falling out with the priest of the parish and from that day forth he never faced the Roman Church the people were all trying to avoid him, and the priest and the nuns of the parish were doing their utmost best to try and bring him back to the Holy Faith, but he would only scorn them and when he was dying he would not have as much as a Catholic beside his death bed.
