    Oaten meal cake.
    Oaten cake was made from oaten meal. Others called it "rock".
    Pancakes.
    The people made two sorts of pancakes. Flour and oaten meal pancakes.
    Cáca poca.
    The caca poca was made by first putting down a pot of oaten meal and water. When boiled an oaten cake was broken down on it.
    Flour cake.
    A flour cake was made from flour and soda.
    The Grinding stone.
    People made bread from wheat and corn grown locally. Each house had a grinding stone worked by hand and they ground each night as much wheaten meal as would
