    Traditions and stories.
    The robin's red breast.
    It is said that when Our Saviour was dying the robin came and was about to pull a thorn out of our Saviour's head a drop of blood fell on his breast and that is why he has a red breast.
    In the cold land there was but one fire. Every day a man looked after it and at night a child. There was one who hated the fire he was a bear. He wished it would quench. It happened however on a certain night the child fell asleep. Then the bear came and rolled over it and when he throught he had it quenched he went away very happy. There
