    Writing
Copies and slates the children had in the school. They got the styem of a clay pipe and put a point on it. With that they wrote on the slate. They often got a stick and burned it in the fire. Then they topped it and wrote on their copies with it.
    Children
They got boxes and put sticks from box to box and there the children sat. There was no desks.
