- (continued from previous page)Long ago the well was at the foot of the tree but it is said a woman washed her feet in it and it changed to the arm of the tree where it still remains. The water comes to the tree on the last Sunday. Saint Cloran was the patron Saint of the well. She was supposed to be a sister of Saint Bernard. It was supposed to have cured people who were deaf and also the lame. The water was poured on the affected part. Relics are left at the well such as hair pins and pieces of cloth.
Long ago when the people were going to do the station they walked from their homes to and from the well.- Collector
