The sky is the most important of all the signs. It shows when it is going to be dry, wet or stormy.
A red skys shows that the next day will be dry and warm.
Black clouds show that there will be rain or thunder, and scattered clods show that it will be stormy.
Some of the animal signs are a cow roars to get in when there is going to be thunder. A dog eats grass when there is going to be rain. A cat sits with her back to the fire when it is going to be stormy. A hen picks her feathers before a storm.- Collector
