    Jim Mc Gowan lived in the townland of Gortnasillagh, Kinlough, Co. Leitrim about seventy years ago. One fine morning as he was going to a market in Ballyshannon with a pig, he met the fairies carrying a corpse to their graveyard which was situated beside the fort Jim turned his horse and cart up Mathew Clancy's lane, Gortnasillagh, Kinlough, Co. Leitrim and let the fairies pass by.
