    If you hear the Atlantic Ocean roaring near Tullaghan it is a sure sign of a great storm but, if you hear it roaring at the mouth of the river Erne it is a sure sign of good weather.
    In the evening when the sun is setting and the sky is a pale red in the west it is a sign that the next day will rain but, if the sky is red in the east it is a sign of good weather.
    In the evening if Goats hair which it is locally called appears in the sky it is a sign of heavy rain.
