- Marriages in this locality usually occur during the months from June until September or a few weeks previous to Lent, as during the seven weeks of Lent no marriages occur. Then the majority of the people within these mentioned months. A marriage performed in June is supposed to be true and a happy one especially if the marriage is celebrated on Wednesday as the poet says "Wednesday is the best day of all"
The bride in this locality is very cautious about what colour she wears on he wedding day usually blue is worn "Married in blue you're sure to be true" therefore all brides select blue for their wedding.
It is customary for the bride to wear "something borrowed", "somethign blue", "something old", "something new" on that day. It adds to the happiness in the future years.
