    to the Shores of Lough Melvin.
    In the burial ground is a large number of headstones both marble and granite beautifully decorated and carved and also a large ammount of tombstones and fancy crosses. The oldest headstones and tombstones date back to about three hundred years ago.
    There is a history attached to this burial ground because inside the boundary wall is the ruin of St Mogues abbey. According to local tradition this abbey was built about the fourteenth century and was occupied by St Mogue and his monk companions for many, many years afterwards. Consequently you have St. Mogue's Abbey, St. Mogue's Well and the Fair of St. Mogue.
