    the house was all potatoes but there was no sign of giolla-na scrada. John had a busy time picking them up. When Martin Gaffenygolup[?] the cows were in the field beyond the house. It is said he never did[?] anyone unless those he heard talking about him. he as always listening to hear if people were talking about him and if so he gave them terrible trouble before morning. It is said that he was banished for ever to Lough Melvin, Rossinver, County Leitrim by a priest.
