- The people in olden times had three meals a day breakfast, dinner and supper. They had their breakfast at eight o'clock their supper at eight o'clock and their dinner at one o'clock. The people worked in the morning before food.
They had potatoes for their breakfast and dinner, and they had porridge for their supper, goat's milk was drank long ago.
They sat in the table in the middle of the floor and along the wallside also. The table was hung up when it was not in use.
Oat meal cakes were eaten long ago. They were baked on a griddle in front of the fire.
Meat was eaten. often also fish. Vegetables were eaten long ago such as parsnips, carrots, onions and cabbages.
Special food was used on special occasions. Tea was used for Christmas and Easter and soda bread. Noggins were used before cups.- Collector
