For gallant sons of Erin's isle
Wherever you may be
At home in dear old Ireland
Or far beyond the sea,
I hope you will pay attention
To the words I have to tell
In Dublin town we came to Crown
The statue of Parnell.
II
On the first day of October
In Dublin city fair
The man hood brave of Ireland
They Thronged to Rutland Square
John Redmond our brave leader
Whilst they band + banners swell
Unveiled the nations monument
As Charles Stewart Parnell
III
Not since O'Connells famous day
Or since the brave Wolfe Tone
Was dear old Dublin city city proud
To unveil that noble stone
