- (continued from previous page)dolls from dab and they also get a handful of hemlock and put them on a string to make a necklace. Boys also buy dull wire to make dulls to catch rabbits and hares. They get a bit of a branch of ash and drive a nail through it and bore a hole in it. They cut a small piece out of the top of it and make a whistle. They get a turnip & paint the nose eyes and mouth like a person for the head of a dab man. All those toys are still being made. Those home made toys are easy to break.
- I play many games namely High "Windows," "Den," "Skipping," "Tig," "Lord Look," "Weigh the butter and sell the salt." Those are the games I play in the day time. At night in the house I play "Dallog" and cards. In summer the children play the most. I pick nuts and(continues on next page)
