Many a time there was a row at the well because if one person was coming home from it with a can of water and another person going the two people would have a row, because the person that would be going to the well would think that the first one home with the water would have the most luck.
    In the townland of Dunmorgan there is a well called "Tobar Bainis" and it is believed that the reason it is called that name is because a wedding took place at it some time ago. Not far from Dromahair there is a well and it is known as "spa" well and it is said that if a person was a half mile away from it he could inhale the scent of the sulphur off the well. There is a well near Lough Gill and it is said that if a person has measels he should go to this well and drink some of its water and it is believed that it is very good
