  2. About a half a mile from Dromahair there was a very old ancient house called Friarstown big house. This old mansion had the reputation of being haunted by ghosts. This ghost was heard nightly walking back and forth through the drawing room. A few years ago this land was divided, into divisions and comfortable homes from the tenant. There came four men gaffering on this estate. These men slept there, the second night they went to bed they could not sleep with the noise of some one walking through this room.
