    grandfather(T Campbell). They went to America in 1861. Its present population is forty persons. The bog or eastern side of the townland is drained by a river which flows through Drumkeelanbeg and on to Ballinaboy and thence to the canal. The river which flows through a lake on the western side joins the one flowing on the eastern side at Ballinaboy. The land is equally divided between arable and moor and is of good quality.
