    Come all ye true brave Irishmen
    That does intent to roam
    To reap the English harvest so far away from home
    Be sure you're well provided with comrades loyal and true
    For both day and night you'll have to fight with John Bull's crew.

    When we left from Dublin the weather is was clear
    And when we put our foot on board
    We gave a hearty cheer
    We sailed away out from the quay
    And never received a shock
    Till we arrived one side of Clarence dock
    Numbers of our country men
    They met us in the town
    Hurrah my boys for Ireland
    It was the cry went round
    With one consent, away we went
    To drink strong ale and wine
    And each man drank a favourite health
    To those he left behind.
