Other articles of clothing were pressed by sitting on them and no iron was used. - The people got a lot of cipins and put them in a cloth and tied them and put them in a pot to boil, and this made dye, for clothes leather etc. It was only one colour and that was dark brown. The dye that is out now is not worth a d-m,. After paying six-pence a packet for it.
