Lisheens and Forts. There are two lisheens in this school district. I never heard of them called anything but lisheen.
One is situated in a village named Scotland and the other in Mountkelly.
They are not within sight of each other.
They are round in shape and there are dykes all round them.
I never heard of anyone going into a hole in them.
The people think the Danes made them for their homes but no one lives there now except the fairies perhaps.
There is a hare in the one in Scotland and it can never be killed.
None of them were ever rooted up or ploughed because the people would be afraid of doing so.
Sometimes the hare changes into a white woman.
Music was never heard near any of them.(continues on next page)- Collector
