The LeipreacanA leipreacan is a fairy man and he lives in a lisheen.
He is about six inches in height. He wears a red jacket and long stockings. It lives mostly under a hawthorn tree. Some people try to catch a leipreacan because it is said that he has a pot of gold hiding somewhere in the lios. He is always making shoes. Tom Burke caught a leipreacan once. Tom Burke was a shoemaker but he never work at his trade and he was fond of drink.(continues on next page)- Collector
