    There was an old woman there and she had two sons. Seamus and Domhnall one day Seamus went away to look for his living. His mother gave him a cake of bread and a bottle of milk. He went away until he came to a farmer's house. The farmer said he would give him one hundred pounds until the cuckoo come out the April after. The farmer made the bargain that he should not grumble or if he did he would cut off the tops of his ears. The next morning the farmer told him that he should thrash the rick of oats before he would get
