For running sores. St. Patrick's leaf was simply left on the sore with a light bandage.
Rash: Sew a cap of laurel leaves and leave it on the head.
Poor Blood: Mix together two spoons of treacle, two spoons of sulpher and half a cup of buttermilk and drink the mixture.
Poor Blood: Water cress and dandelion boiled.
Chin Cough: A raw turnip sliced very finely in a dish with about two ounces of sugar and the dish to be covered and to drink the jice that would come out of it.
For drawing sores: A leaf of the "gas donn" was left on the sore and bandaged.
Mumps: Heat salt or bran and put either in a little bag and tie it around the neck.
