- I live in the village of Parkroe. There are not many ruins in it. There are not many ruins in it. But about a quarter of a mile away there is an ancient fort to be seen. In the fort there is a great big opening in the ground, and it is said that people went through this opening long ago to the river. It is very dark and you could not go through it unless you would have a candle and matches.
It is also said that at the time of the last war that it was a great hiding place. It is also believe that fairies live there. One night a man was coming from a wake and two fairies led him into the fort. One man took up his sword and was about to kill him but the other man shouted let him go and he went home safe after that.
Not far from that place there is a stone in a field. It is in the middle of the field. It is standing upright and it is said that three giants were buried under that stone long long(continues on next page)- Collector
