    The ladies or women wore boots with elastic in the sides and no laces and the men wore clogs. The poorer people just wore rage round their feet. They had to be very careful of their feet because with walking over rough stones and walking in damp that feet were badly injured with cuts, stone bruises, hacks, and crigged toes. They used to wash their feet
