  1. There is no forge in the immediate neighbourhood. There are several in the town of Manorhamilton viz. McLaughlin, O'Connor, Mulligan. The men who work in a forge are called Blacksmiths. They are usually very strong men, with very large Muscles in their arms.
The Blacksmiths in Manorhamilton mainly make shoes for horses and donkeys. They occassionally mend implements or fix gates. They sometimes fix ploughs, iron harrows mowing machines.
They have an anvil, sledge, hammer, pincers, punch, vice, rasp, bellows and nails.
