- Near Drumsna, Co. Leitrim, there is a townsland name Gowel. It is said that once upon a time a very poor family lived there.
One night the father dreamt that there was a pot of gold under a certain bush in a field near-by. So next day he set out to find the gold and found it.
It was in an ordinary cooking pot. When he came home they emptied out the gold, but when it had been taken out and nothing left in the pot, they saw writing on the bottom of the pot. They could not make the writing out.
About a year after a poor man came to the door and asked for a little help. It happened that the pot was near the door at that particular time. The man looked around and when he saw the writing on the writing on the pot he read it clearly. It was: "On the other side of the bush there(continues on next page)- Collector
